Do you need the Required Resources?
Explore our comprehensive homeschool curriculum, designed to enhance your child's learning experience.
History and Literature Instructor's Guides
This homeschool curriculum includes separate Parent & Student Guides featuring a 36-Week, 4-Day schedule. This schedule allows you to save one day each week for co-ops, music lessons, sports, field trips, or other extracurricular activities. While the Parent and Student Guides are nearly identical, the Parent Guide includes answers to discussion questions, map activities, and helpful notes about the content and grading.
With all lesson plans and organization prepared for you, you can focus on enjoying time with your students and learning together. Let the discussion questions and captivating books inspire meaningful conversations about family, politics, history, and character. Simply open your guide each day to see what to read and discuss.
Virtual Learning
An optional online platform enables students to access reading schedules, take assessments, and receive instant auto-grading results. Parents can track and review student work, customize assessments, and message students directly from a computer or mobile device. Each Virtual course includes one student and one parent/teacher account.
If purchased in April, May, or June, access to the Virtual platform can start as early as July 1st. You can begin your course on a date of your choice, up to six months from the purchase date. Please note that virtual courses must be started within six months of purchase, and you will have 12 months from your start date to complete the course.
History & Geography │ American History
Utilizing Joy Hakim's award-winning series, A History of US, students will engage with the foundational story of our nation through interesting text, photos, and illustrations. Additional great books, such as Before Columbus, Freedom Walkers, and Sacajawea, enhance the history portion. Supplemental notes in both the Student and Parent Guides provide extra context to complement the books.
We also incorporate Joy Hakim’s The Story of Science series, which focuses on three of the world’s most influential scientists: Aristotle, Newton, and Einstein. Each book offers historical perspectives and scientific explanations, helping students understand how these scientists contributed to our knowledge of matter, mechanics, mathematics, and the universe.
American Historical Literature & Language Arts
This section is designed to integrate seamlessly with the history course material. Students will read classic literary works such as To Kill a Mockingbird, The Call of the Wild, and The Adventures of Tom Sawyer. These literary treasures will enhance writing skills, vocabulary, cultural literacy, and a love for learning, while stimulating critical thinking through engaging ideas and characters.
The Language Arts portion aligns closely with the literature, providing a complete writing program that develops critical thinking, literary analysis, and creative writing. Instruction covers various writing types, including narrative, argumentative, expository, persuasive, and descriptive writing. Students will also complete a four-week research project and various reporting assignments (similar to a periodical). Each writing assignment concludes with evaluation questions for parents to assess the quality of their child’s work.
An optional supplement, Wordly Wise 3000 Book 8 & Teacher's Key, is scheduled in the guide for convenience but is not required (not included in the All-Subject Package unless added via the Customize Tab).
Science │ Physics, Electromagnetism, and Waves
This module includes a schedule with discussion questions, a Student Lab Book, a Parent Answer Key, and a Science Supplies Kit that provides all necessary materials for student labs.
The curriculum also features The Story of Science series, focusing on Aristotle, Newton, and Einstein, to deepen understanding of key scientific concepts. Students should have a basic knowledge of algebra to complete some lab work in this program.
Math
The Math-U-See Algebra 1 Universal Set is included in this All-Subject Package. You may also choose from other math programs, such as Saxon, using the Customize tab. To assess your student's readiness for Algebra 1, please take the Algebra 1 Readiness Assessment.
